Hello.  You've discovered my blog, and trully I am thankful.  In order for you to get a better idea of what this blog is all about, I feel it is necessary to understand who I am.  I'm a 29 year old college dropout, currently pursing my dream of becoming an acclaimed writer.  While I won't start prepping that Pulitzer Prize speech just yet, I would begin by saying that I have loved words since I first started using them.  From alphabet blocks to word search puzzles, I've always found a beauty in their completeness.  As most unabridged dictionaries will quickly show, there is a word for everything, and since I was around 10 years old, when I learned of my passion for writing (especially poetry), I've fallen even deeper in love with them all.

Poetry....what can I say about something that I cling to as if it were a lung?
Well, poetically speaking, I was a poet long before I understood what poetry really was, spilling out tiny droplets of me in everything I've ever done.  Each verse was a new experience and I dove into as many as I could.  Poets like Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou painted pictures of a world I could understand and relate to, while Pablo Neruda and Robert Frost captured my love of lyrical imagery.  Poetry continues to mold me today.

Who am I?

I am a poet.  I'm expressive.  I'm opinionated.  I'm multifaceted and multdimensional.  I am emotion at its purest.  I am my flaws, at their most beautiful.  I am the story of my dreams, my struggles, my successes, and my failures, spread out, in continuous rhythm.  I am a voice that demands audience, whether it is screaming out to the masses, or whispering gently to my discontent.

I am an unspoken word, patiently waiting to be heard.
