It's Facebook, and I Was Bored.....

So the last few hours I've seen the following posted by a bunch of FB friends (for those of you not in the 21st century, FB stands for Facebook, that addictive little social network phenomenon that's been making people lose sleep for years):

1 - Go to wikipedia.org and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2 - Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. 3 - Go to flickr.com and click on “explore the last seven days” Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. 4 - Use photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together!

Now normally, I don't buy in to all the hype.  The questions game, the numbers game, the naked pics game...oh, wait, that was a really crazy dream I had.  But anyway, fads tend to irritate me, because I think it embraces 'follower' mentality, as in monkey see, monkey do.  Besides, sometimes it feels like way too many people on Facebook have nothing better to do.

But today, I became one of them...lol.

So, I decided to try this out, and believe it or not, the resulting "album" is hilarious.  Following all of the steps above (all though it took me forever to find "explore the last 7 days" at the bottom of the Flickr Explore page), this is what I came up with:

Needless to say, I laughed.

But now what? With a name like Dave Peters, I doubt my imaginary band will ever get any big gigs. Shameful.

Fall Out Boy --- Hum Hallelujah

I love this song for so many reasons.  Pete Wentz writes some of the coolest lyrics to me.

"so hum hallelujah...just off the key of reason, I thought I loved you...it was just how you looked in the light...."
Awesome on so many levels...lol
