Most bloggers aren't in it for the comments, but we appreciate seeing them from time to time. They remind us that this mindless banter is relevant to someone outside of our heads. Which is important for helping a blog get better. So those of you who spend your time, soaking over my carefully thought out words, I ask you one small favor:
COMMENT PLEASE!!!!
Thank you.

ReplyDeleteLol...thanks for signing in T :)
ReplyDeleteI think comments are needed.
ReplyDeleteNot that others need to validate our words, but you want to get the sense that what you have to say, on some level, encourages healthy dialog.
I don't blog for comments like you said, but when they come across it's a compliment that what I had to say, was of interest to others.
Now...there are some people that I will not give the time of day because a comment is a comment is a comment and is meant to be responded to. Well, some get to the point where they don't respond at all. To me, that's disrespectful because there are so many other blogs to read and they took the time to acknowledge - without reciprocation.
How's that for a comment? :-)
Traci, I couldn't agree with you more. Because all of this is about encouraging the conversation. When readers comment back, it shows that they are interested, and encourages the writer to bring more, which in turn keeps the conversations growing and going.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you. There are some people that have this voyeuristic approach to reading blogs. Look from the shadows. Lol, while I can respect this, it's hard for me to understand. I follow so many blogs that it's hard to comment on all of them, but it is my intention, and I do make an effort (which reminds me that I must go and check yours out today...your words motivate so well!!)
Excellent comment! Thank you :)
